Ah, it has been a hectic 3 months or so, and FOREVER since I have last
updated this blog as well as my main site. Not that there
hasn’t been much going on, however. Oh quite the contrary!
britsoc.nl is up and running, a Rails app, with a CMS
(content management system) component to it. I hadn’t originally planned for
it to go that way, but it was real good practice cuz that’s how I envisioned my
main homepage to work anyway. Call it a first pancake, so to speak.
That has been my main project, but also in the mix has been the start of a
major new Rails project, some more work for Ron over at
XProgramming.com, updates for Edgar at Edgar
Portraits, Christmas Ball designs and
administration for the BritSoc, intense Ruby sessions with Rudi, and then
there’s the disaster preparation for the bird flu, the new game Civilization
4, and now my
ex-landlord has got me hooked on Sudoku!
It’s all a curse and a blessing at the same time. I had to fast again for a
couple of days last week to clear my head a bit!
But I know it’s good for me. I’ve learned A LOT these past few months, and I
feel like I’m just getting started! It’s like I just got passed the steep
learning curve, and it’s just coasting from here. We’ll see. 2006 will be
exciting!
